Urban Paddle, History Parks, and Island Expeditions!

Following the coast to the North is the dream of urban paddling. Beautiful homes perched above small parks and lagoons and tiny islets with mysterious sandstone formations.
To the South through the old Nanaimo harbour lies Dodds Narrows, the tidal rapids which act as a gatekeeper to the Gulf Islands. Rich in history, these islands stretch the length of the southern Vancouver Island area.
The Gulf Islands are home to First Nations historical sites, old staging grounds for the Rum Runners and the abandoned compound of the 1920's cult of Brother XII.
