Introduction to Sea Kayak Surfing
Successfully negotiating surf zones is a critical skill anytime that you venture beyond sheltered waters or when poor conditions weather conditions develop. Developing awareness for safety in surf zones, wave anatomy and techniques specific to surf are core elements to building you skill, confidence and safety when negotiating surf. Effectively managing your kayak on surf will improve your enjoyment.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Paddling Skills course or equivalent; Current III Navigating Current Channels or equivalent; Sculling & Bracing or equivalent. Highly recommended skills: Rolling; Rescue II.

This is a 2 day program. Each day is a full day on the water.
